General Purpose of Position
The Program Coordinator will provide leadership, oversight, and support to all facets of the Program Department of the Kroc Center.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. To ensure that all arts, music, recreation and education programmatic components of the center are in line with the RJKCCC mission statement;
2. To provide direct supervision to the Program Department coordinators including, but not limited to: art, music, education, All-Star academy, recreation, day camp, and Elder In Residence;
3. To ensure that all program information is compiled and ready for marketing;
4. To develop registration and permission forms for RJKCCC programming, in coordination with the Program Department coordinators;
5. To coordinate all education classes and instructors;
6. To evaluate programming staff performance and respond appropriately, when needed;
7. To perform human resource duties when hiring new staff;
8. To coordinate and chair monthly programming team meetings;
9. To ensure the implementation of safety and risk management policies and procedures in the program areas, in coordination with the Corps Officers and Facilities Coordinator;
10. To coordinate and direct program guide brainstorming meetings each trimester;
11. To ensure production of the trimester program guides, in coordination with the Business & Development Manager;
12. To ensure program compliance for all grant-funded Program Department programming;
13. To provide support in the preparation of grant proposals for Program Department programming;
14. To prepare and present monthly Kroc Center Advisory Board program reports;
15. To coordinate and manage all programming special events.
16. To be available for other reasonable duties, as assigned by the Corps Officers, for the enhancement of the overall program and ministry of the Kroc Center
17. To be sensitive to the spiritual needs of people and offer to refer them to the Corps Officers and/or another spiritual leader at the Kroc Center.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator will recruit, train, organize, & lead Program Department coordinators - see attached flow
chart.

Minimum Education and/or Experience
· Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or commensurate with experience;
· Must have successful experience in leading a team of professional associates & volunteers;

Special Skills, Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
· Exceptional organizational skills;
· An understanding of, and life philosophy that is consistent with, the overall mission of The Salvation Army.
· The ability to work and relate well with children, teens, adults, and Kroc Center staff in all situations;
· A working knowledge of the Kroc Center Code of Conduct & Policies, as found in the trimester Program Guide;
· A professional attitude and approach to administrative duties, independent work, problem solving, & time
management;
· Adherence to employee guidelines set forth by The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory, Neosa Division and
the Kroc Center;
· Good computer skills, including the ability to use word processing programs, e-mail, and web
searching/browsing;
· A valid driver’s license and be able to be approved to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.

Welcome Center Associate
Availability
15 hours per week

Welcome Center Supervisor

Function
If you're a positive, enthusiastic, customer service oriented people-person, consider joining the dedicated Welcome Center staff. You'll work at our front desk welcoming customers, sign customers up for memberships and class registrations, assist in our directing individuals with social service needs, and build relationships with the community.

Requirements
Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with guests, staff and volunteers.  Must be a multi-tasker, well-organized with great people skills, patience and have computer skills. Will require evening and possible weekend work.

Independent Class Instructor
Availability: Quarterly

Responsible to: Art, Music, or Education Coordinator

Function: Class instructors will teach a subject in which they have expertise. The length of the class will be determined with assistance of the appropriate coordinator. The instructor will design the class with the assistance of the Art, Music or Education Coordinator. Classes may be geared towards children, adults, or families, and may be offered during the day, evenings, or weekends.

Requirements: Must have a level of expertise in the subject to be presented, and must pass a Salvation Army background check. Position can be volunteer or short-term contract. Please submit your resume, a synopsis of a potential class/workshop and a cover letter to:
