Food Service Coordinator (part time)

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is seeking a part-time Food Service Coordinator. It is 25 hours per week (30 hours in the summer). This position prepares and serves all meals, including but not limited to, our daily (M-F) lunch program as well as all ordering, meal planning, purchasing, and documenting for CACFP & SFSP. They must have the ability to work with and relate well with children, adults, and staff in all situations as well as a deep understanding of The Salvation Army and its mission. This person is an integral part of our overall mission of The Salvation Army and must be a team player!

Job Requirements

  • Must have Servsafe certificate, training and/or 3 years in food service or catering
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Able to lift and carry 40 pounds or more
  • High School or equivalent diploma
  • Professional attitude and approach to independent work and problem solving
  • Must pass background check

Food Service Assistant (part time)

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is seeking a Food Service Assistant. This is a part-time position of 10 hours during the school year, 20 hours per week during the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Food Service Coordinator with preparation and serving of all our community meals (M-F), after-school snack and reporting and recording for CACFP, the Summer Food Service Program lunch and snack, and any other food service as requested
  • Assist in the upkeep of the cleanliness and functionality of the Kroc Center’s kitchen
  • Serve as the fill-in cook any time the Food Service Coordinator is unavailable

Minimum Education and/or Experience

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to lift and carry 40 pounds or more
  • High School or equivalent diploma
  • Must have an understanding and appreciation of The Salvation Army and its mission
  • Must have the ability to relate well with children and adults in all situations with a professional attitude

Recreation Associate (part time)

We are looking for a fun-loving and dependable team player to supervise and interact with children, parents, and staff at our many activities, including RJ’s Place, Fun Zone, Roller Skating, Laser Tag, Basketball, the Field House, Indoor Soccer, RJ’s Spraypark, and other sports and activities. Candidates should have at least one year experience working in recreation, CPR and first aid certification, and a philosophy of education, child development, and Christian values consistent with the Salvation Army.

Welcome Center Associate (part time)

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corp Community Center is seeking a part-time (approx 15-19 hours per week) Welcome Center Associate. Day time and evening hours needed. This person should have at least 2 years in a customer related field with management experience preferred. We are seeking someone with great communication skills, a positive attitude, and is willing and able to learn our specific software, CCMS. Must strong understanding of The Salvation Army and its mission and a life that reflects the mission of The Salvation Army at work and home is required.
