Director of Development (full time)

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Ashland Ohio is seeking a Director of Development. They will be an essential part of the Kroc Center leadership team by successfully leading all community relations and development elements and strategies of the Kroc Center. They must also have an understanding of, and life philosophy that is consistent with, the overall mission of The Salvation Army.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or commiserate experience. Strong relational and communication (both verbal and in writing) skills, a broad understanding of, and experience in, fundraising and development, and a desire/willingness for ongoing training in these areas. Strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, strategic and creative thinking, and good computer skills, including the ability to use word processing programs, e-mail, database programs, and web searching/browsing, are also required.

Facilities Assistant (part time, weekend)

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is needing a part-time/weekend facilities assistant. We are looking for someone who understands and supports the Christian mission of The Salvation Army. They must be 21 years of age or older and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. This person must be a team player and able to work weekends and be flexible with their hours.

Recreation Associate (part time)

We are looking for a fun-loving and dependable team player to supervise and interact with children, parents, and staff at our many activities, including RJ’s Place, Fun Zone, Roller Skating, Laser Tag, Basketball, the Field House, Indoor Soccer, RJ’s Spraypark, and other sports and activities. Candidates should have at least one year experience working in recreation, CPR and first aid certification, and a philosophy of education, child development, and Christian values consistent with the Salvation Army.
